 Quest SD01: Sustainable Development Links
SD Gateway
The Sustainable Development Communications Network is a group of leading non-governmental organizations working together to find ways of using the Internet to meet the goals of sustainable development.

World Data Center for Human Interactions in the Environment
The International Council of Scientific Unions (ICSU) has designated CIESIN, the Center for International Earth Science Information Network at Columbia University, the World Data Center for Human Interactions in the Environment. It is one of more than 40 centers comprising the World Data Center System, and is the first non-solar and non-geophysical WDC to be established by the ICSU. Why Human Interactions? It is now widely recognized that human activities can both influence and be influenced by global environmental change. The key to understanding these influences will come through the analysis and integration not only of geophysical and ecological data, but also a wide range of socioeconomic data.

World Links for Development (WorLD)
Links students and teachers in secondary schools in developing countries with students and teachers in industrialized countries for collaborative learning programs via the Internet.

Content will be gathered - or linked - in collaboration with many information providers through formal partnerships and other alliances...."
